Mac OS X 10.5.4 was released yesterday afternoon. As as everyone can tell all the issues with Nav Services and InDesign have been fixed. Only one bug remains and it's a minor one.

At this time there is still no fix for the cmd+h keyboard shortcut issue. In the interim, a limited workaround has been identified: Shut-down InDesign, then restart. CMD+H should work until the OS is re-booted.

Apple released Mac OS X 10.5.3 last week. A few issues with Adobe's CreativeSuite 3 have been resolved, but some remain. If you've updated to 10.5.3 and having issues with CS3, check out these links.

There's also been lots of discussion about file corruption when working with files on a server. Apparently there are a lot more problems under 10.5.3. For the record, Adobe and Quark have always recommended working on files locally. The corruption issue has always been a problem regardless of which version of OS X.

I'll tell this to my clients all the time. Don't open files on the server. Copy them to your hard drive first.

And if you don't belive me. read this.

Thinking about upgrading to Leopard?

If you're considering upgrading to Leopard (Mac OS X 10.5) you might want to check this software compatibility list at MacInTouch. Link

I think I'm going to wait a while because Adobe Creative Suite apparently has some issues with Leopard, but Adobe isn't very clear about what those issues are. I've also read some reports that Creative Suite just needs to be erased and reinstalled before it will launch.
